The picture rails in the rooms are also in the process of being installed and its really looking good. The cracked bathroom sink has now been replaced as well.
And...........my fireplace has been installed ready for the gas plumber to do his bit down the track. I am officially in love and can't wait till next winter when I can be a real little old lady sitting in the "bat cave" with my fireplace, tv, dvd and a nice hot cuppa.
Also chose my carpet today - here's a picture of it!

Looks fantastic Janine. Are you having the mantlepiece painted or stained? Both look great. I think we have chosen a very similar carpet to you too...we have such great taste you and I!! LOL
Apologies I had to run this morning....next time. But I spent the afternoon in the glorious sunshine working in the front garden.
That fireplace looks like an invitation for the 'nana nap'
.....then again so does the bay window in the bedroom; geez too many choices.
Loving the picture rail and the fireplace will finish of the bat cave nicely. Every home should have somewhere they can hide out. Especially in winter :-)
Sorry Deb to arrive totally out of the blue!! Didn't make it back, spent time curtain & carpet research! Linni will get the mantle painted probably antique white USA asnthat is the colour above the picture rail. Funny about carpet, great minds thunk alike!
